Hello! My journey into visual work began at the early age of 3, spending time admiring the colors and textures of broken pieces of plastics, marbles, nails, fabric and other lost objects. At the age of 5, while my mother was teaching me how to read and write Spanish, I illustrated and journaled our vacation trips to Mexico. At the age of 8, I wrote, illustrated and recorded audio for stories to entertain my family. I had a dream of becoming a teacher, yet as I walked through each chapter of my life, I found myself crossing paths with color, design and storytelling. After enrolling in one commercial art class in college, I knew my future had to include graphic design. The university programs were not as developed for news communication and information design like they are now, but my desire to learn computer drawing programs prepared me for my first internship in a newspaper environment. There, I began my real life experience as a visual journalist.
I have been in training for this profession before I was introduced to it. My passion continues to visualize, illustrate and design content.
